Just a Couple of Outings

Our friend Alisa let me know that she was asked to play at the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra for kids concert. I had heard about it, but forgot it was coming up, so when I heard she was playing, I got tickets, and Sophia and I got to go out together last Saturday morning.
Here we are waiting for the show to begin.
The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.
Here are the flutes and piccolo. Alisa is the one in the middle. They have wings because they were doing a special mosquito song. Although we thought it was more of a butterfly song because mosquitos are very annoying, and the song wasn't annoying at all. :)
We got to do a walk through the orchestra at the end and here's Alisa again. Sophia and I both enjoyed the show!
We went to the zoo today and I was trying to get a nice photo of Sophia and Zoe by these pretty flowers, but it didn't really happen, as you can see.
"I just want to grab you, Sophia!"
"I love my sister Zoe!"
"What's that over there?"
The girls have been a little sick and they were both tired and fell asleep on the way home today. I tried getting a photo of both of them but couldn't. Here's Sophia...
...and Zoe. I gave her something to eat on the way home because she was so fussy (against my better judgement), and she fell asleep with it in her mouth. It was so funny! Just glad she didn't choke on it. :)

Sophia and Ruby

Sophia has a little friend Ruby who we met at the Mainly Music we used to go to. They don't talk about much, but they play together pretty well. We get together and do things most Thursdays. After we got back from our trip to the states, we met up with Ruby and her nanny at the time, Jacky. We met at the park near our house, and when Sophia saw them walking down the path, she took off running towards them. It was so sweet! She tried giving Ruby a cuddle, but Ruby didn't want one at the time. Oh well. Two year olds can be very unpredictable. :) Sophia's usually the one not wanting to be touched!
Ruby, Sophia, and Jacky heading to the cafe after a program at the library.
Attempting to blow bubbles.

At the beach (I think they were trying to blow bubbles here too).
Playing in the sand. Ahhhh, the advantages of living here. (We still miss being able to see our family and friends regularly though!)
