Email Issues

My email address was hacked into and is currently shut down. I am hoping I will be able to get back into it to get all of my contacts, but we shall see. If anyone needs to get in touch with me, please do so on facebook. Thanks! I'll let everyone know if I need your email addresses again.

Random Pics

Just a few random pics from the last little while...
This photo is a couple of weeks old now, but I thought it was cute. We were asking Sophia if she wanted to give Zoe a kiss for the first time, and then we both made kissy faces. :) This was the day after Zoe was born.
Sophia and me reading and singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider. I have decided that I don't like that song. It's a pro-spider song, and personally, I don't like having spiders crawling around my house. :)
Grandma brought this shirt for Sophia, "Big Sisters are the Coolest!" It was really hard getting a photo of her wearing this so that we could actually read it. So far, she is doing pretty good with being a big sister. She tries sharing things with Zoe, gives her kisses, and even gave her a toy to play with today when I asked her to. It was really sweet. Sometimes she is a bit jealous of our time together, which is understandable. She used to have much more attention from me than she has lately. Thankfully this newborn stage doesn't last forever!

Thank You Grandma/Mom!

I just wanted to say "Thank You" to my Mom for the whole world to see (ok, maybe not the whole world, but whoever reads this blog)! Thank you for coming all this way, for spending all that money on plane tickets, just to help out around here. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I just cannot thank you enough for all you did. Thank you for playing with Sophia, for dressing her, bathing her, bringing her lots of surprises, etc. Thank you for cooking, for doing the dishes, folding laundry, etc. Thank you for holding Zoe, for changing her nappies. We all really appreciate it! We all miss you, but I think Sophia misses her caretaker/playmate most of all.
The four girls. I wish my hair was looking a bit better. Oh well. :)
Grandma and the girls. We would tell Sophia to smile and she would get this big cheesy grin on her face for the camera. It was pretty funny to watch!
Grandma and Sophia on our first outing with both girls. We were feeding the sea gulls at the beach.
Grandma and Sophia walking on the beach with Rangitoto in the distance.
Grandma made her famous "Kid Pleasing Cookies" and taught Sophia how to dunk them in milk. I guess that's one way to get her to have some milk! :)

The Last Few Days

Here are some photos from the last few days...
Grandma and Zoe at 1 day old.
Zoe's first bath. They don't bathe them in the hospital here, so she got a bath after she got home. Poor girl was not impressed.
Cuddling with Daddy after bath time.
Sophia pointing out Zoe's foot.
Some sisterly love (we'll see how long this lasts!).
Zoe actually awake!
Sophia's lovely chocolate ice cream mustache!

Zoe Caroline Scott

I just figured I better do a quick blog post about the arrival of Zoe Caroline Scott. She was born on Thursday, 1 July 2010 at 5:45 pm. She was 8 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches long. We came home pretty soon after the birth because Birthcare (the place we stay after having the baby) was under construction so it was too loud to get much sleep there. It's much better at home with Daddy and Grandma here to help and allow me to get some rest. We'll have to take some more photos and I'll post them another time. For now, you can see some on Travis' blog.
