Working for "the Man"

If you've read Travis' blog post from yesterday, you already know that I've started my job at Starbucks. I am officially working for the man. I am working for a huge company that just opened stores in Brasil. That seems a bit strange to me, but whatever. There are so many little rules because it's such a large company that they have to have rules about everything. "No more than two earings per ear, no tattoos showing, no scented lotion," etc. Travis did think it was kind of funny that they were started in Seattle and people cannot have tattoos showing. Oh well. They've given me a job and are fully training me to be able to make a variety of coffee drinks and stuff. I think these skills will be beneficial to me in our current world. :) And I like it so far! Oh, and I get free coffee! No wonder I've been really happy for the past week. :)

Yeah! A job is a job and a part time job that provides health insurance is a great job! I too have had problems with Starbucks, but I have found that if you brew the coffee at your house it is surprisingly good and much better than the burnt acidity they serve in their establishment.
What one are you working at? We will have to stop in to see you!

I'm so glad to hear it's all going ok so far...and I look forward to experiencing your new coffee making skills when I come visit!!(D.V.) I'm going to email you this avo when work is a bit quieter...I can't wait to talk to you though :)
Love ya and love to Travis
:) Bon
Yeah!!! You're totally gonna make an awesome barista! I have never, ever, not even once been into a Starbucks. I think me and the other guy who's never been into a Starbucks should get together some time. I think he lives in Montana or something.
But i like their coffee.
Aaawww! Thanks for all your support! It's going pretty good. Just getting used to making all the drinks. It can be pretty confusing. But it's fun! And for Julie--I am at the one way away from you, Clarkson and Baxter. You might not even know that intersection exists. :)
I don't understand the dislike of Starbucks, but since I'm not really a coffee drinker, I guess I have no real strong opinions on coffee at all...they do have good Caramel Frappucino's though!
I need your address....I miss writing you real letters!
