We just got back the other day from a week in Pittsburgh. I really like that city! We went to visit Jon, Meagan, Ella, and Lucy (one of the many dogs we used to take care of) and got to hang out with them for a couple of days before everyone else came. Dave, Laura, and Andrew came on Wednesday night, and Walt, Holly, Julia, and Adam came on Thursday afternoon. Then David, Kelly, and Sam came on Thursday night. It was a little crazy with 10 adults and 5 kids under the age of 2! And most everyone knows, my favorite age starts around 12 or 13 and goes up, so this was a stretch for me. :) The sad thing was Julia and Adam didn't really sleep on Thursday night, so neither did Walt and Holly, so they ended up leaving on Friday morning.

We went to the Botanical Gardens on Friday morning, and it was beautiful and relaxing and the kids did really well. They had a lot of stuff inside that we could look at, which was good, because it was really cold out! That night, Jon's sisters came over to babysit the kids and we all went out to dinner at the Quaker Steak and Lube restaurant. It was a fun place to go and looked like an oil change place. Then we went to one of the inclines and rode up a little trolly to the top of the really steep hill to look out over Pittsburgh. This is where Jon and Meagan had their first kiss! Awww! They renacted it for us. :) Although I have the feeling it was a little more natural and a little less awkward than the actual first kiss. There were a couple of surprises waiting when we got back to the house. A while back, Kelly had a good idea to throw Meagan a surprise baby shower. She even got people from St. Louis to give her the gifts so she could bring them for Meagan. Then a little while later, Meagan called me and said she thought it would be fun to have a birthday party for all of us girls since we are all turning 30 this year. So, there were 2 surprise parties going on, and Jon's sisters and mom did a great job of keeping them both secret and setting up for them while we were gone. When we walked up to the house, Meagan said "surprise" to Kelly, right as Kelly was saying "surprise" to Meagan! So funny!

Oh, I almost forgot to write about the fact that pretty much all I did on Tuesday and Wednesday was watch Grey's Anatomy! Since we were in New Zealand when the season started, I didn't get to watch any of season 3. Meagan DVRed every episode for me (well maybe not just for me) so I watched them every time Ella took a nap or went to bed. It was great to get caught up and be ready to watch the newest episode when it came on Thursday night. It was so fun to watch it with the girls I started watching it with!

Here is a picture of everyone (except Walt and Holly and fam), and apparently I am the only on who thought we were supposed to be doing a silly picture. :) On Saturday morning the girls (minus Kelly) got to go see Dreamgirls, which we all loved! Jennifer Hudson was amazing! And in the afternoon the guys went to Pan's Labrynth (I don't know how to spell that) and I think Travis liked it the most out of everyone.

No way!!! A group picture with Travis looking normal and Brooke looking weird? Truly an historic, landmark occasion. Incredible.
So glad you guys are having fun! We miss you!!!
Juanito, that is a great comment! I hadn't thought about it that way, but it is truly something special! :) We miss you too! :(
