Auckland University

On Monday we went with Rebecca to her university in downtown Auckland. Yeah, the picture of the three of us is kinda weird. :)

We took the train because parking can be a real problem down there during the day. The trains they have in Auckland were trains Australia no longer wanted, so New Zealand bought them, and fixed them up a bit before putting them on the tracks. You could tell. The train was pretty slow compared to trains in London or New York. But it got us there and back again, so I guess that’s ok. Rebecca took us around her university and other parts of downtown Auckland.

The park in the picture here is near the university and is a popular study place when it's nice out.

Thanks Rebecca for showing us around! :)

Just one random note, many of you know that I love markers and stationary and pens and stickers and all that kind of stuff. Well, we went into this store called Max 10, but no, it is not the same Max 10 we have in Michigan. I got 10 different color Sharpie markers at Max 10 for 3 New Zealand Dollars, which is the same as 1.98 American Dollars. I have never seen Sharpies that cheap. I was so excited!

Much better, Luke! Thanks! And we're heading up north for some fun tomorrow so we're looking forward to that. Speaking of which, I better go pack! :)

Max 10??? That's awesome! I know it's not the same as my favorite clothing shop of all time! I would still shop there every chance i got, just because of the name.
