Our Mini-Holiday
Travis took some photos of our mini-holiday in Waiheke, and I forgot about it until now. So, here they are!
It was really good for us to get away for a few days.
We all enjoyed the change of scenery and being together for those days.
Travis and Sophia on the top deck of the ferry on our way to the island.
They both love the wind blowing through their hair.
We went to a cafe for lunch that had a good area for kids to play in and Sophia made a friend. He looked like a younger version of our friend's son Sam Richter. They enjoyed throwing rocks around and getting good and dirty. Sophia is VERY good at that.
Sophia and me trying to feed the birds. Sophia kept throwing the food too close to her stroller so the birds were getting a little too close for comfort. I thought I might lose a toe.
Sophia and I were jumping on the trampoline at one of the wineries we went to. You probably already saw the video of this on Travis' blog or my facebook. Sophia loved it!

Sophia's first outing in the sweet backpack that Luke and Julie gave us/let us borrow. Travis looks kind of ticked off, but he really wasn't. They had a good time walking together.
We were at a place called Stony Batter and it was really cool looking with all these stones around the hills. Travis did end up getting a bit ticked because there are tunnels there we tried to go into, but no one was there to open them, so it was a bit disappointing. They were tunnels made during WWII but didn't even get finished until after the war and were never used for anything.
